MAIN HALL+ lower Level & Kitchen: 4:30 PM – Holiday Sing with Free Community POTLUCK

Every year, the Grange offers everyone a chance to get together and sing holiday songs!

Starting at 4:30 PM, our Grange Musician, Matt Nunnelly, will lead songs and accompany on the piano; we’ll project lyrics on the screen so we’ll all be singing the same words!  There will be a break to have some hot chocolate, too.

We’ll be singing a combination of “classic” songs, plus newer ones–and including songs for all types of holiday traditions.  If there’s an unusual one you’d like to have on the list, please email the lyrics to:  swartztim15@gmail.com, and we’ll see if Matt can play it, and if we can get it ready to project on the screen!

The singing will last until 6:00, and then everyone is welcome to stay for a Community Potluck dinner in the Lower Level!  Bring your favorite dish to share (can be heated up in the  kitchen if  necessary), or bring some chips ‘n’ dip, or some fruit, or a soup or bread and cheese–and desserts are always popular!  It’s a chance to meet your neighbors, meet some Grange members, and talk about songs we should include next year!

Feel free to wear your favorite holiday sweater, like many of these folks did at a similar event a few years ago!

PS, there will also be a “Montpelier Contra Dance” happening after the potluck, with an intro lesson at 7:45, and contras from 8:00 to 11:00!
