Free “Community Barbecue Potluck Picnic!” at the Grange

Enjoy a free Community BBQ Potluck at the Capital City Grange Hall.

We’ll eat outdoors, with tables and chairs next to the ramp entrance on the north end of the (newly painted) Grange Hall.

Grills, hamburgers, hot dogs, black bean burgers, ice cream and cones provided by the Grange. Please bring side dishes to share.

We’ll have dinner music too, from the Senior Jazz Ensemble that rehearses weekly at the Grange Hall!

We encourage everyone to bring whatever they wish to eat and share–we welcome:

• Appetizers
• Soups
• Salads
• Chips
• Salsa & dips
• Breads
• Cheeses
• Main dishes–casseroles, curries, roast meats, roasted vegetables, you name it, we’ll eat it!
• Side dishes–veggies, rice pilafs, potatoes, you name it, we’ll eat it!
• Desserts–cookies, cakes, pies, watermelon
• Beverages–cider, juices, carbonated beverages, etc. (all non-alcoholic, please!)
• We have great-tasting (and well-tested) well water.

We’ll use the Grange’s great selection of vintage china and melamine plates and dinnerware, and ask for a few volunteers to help to wash up after the meal.

We hope you’ll join us to meet some new folks, re-meet some old friends, talk over what’s happening in the Grange and the rest of the world!

If it’s raining, please join us in the Lower Level of the Grange Hall, which (since March, 2023) is accessible via the wheelchair lift, so that everyone can attend, including those with mobility limitations!
