Baking Contest: Apple Muffins! at 5:30 PM

We are holding our annual Grange Baking Contest at 5:30PM.   Anyone can enter!  You can use any recipe you like!  And we will have Celebrity Judges!

Lynn Spencer (Berlin Elementary Art Teacher, and curator of our exhibition of Berlin kids’ art in our Grange Hall)

Anne Donahue (VT State Rep for Berlin & Northfield)

Jeremy Hansen (Berlin Selectboard member, and organizer of Central VT Internet [CVI])

Easy rules:

Put 6 muffins on a paper plate.

Write your recipe on one side of a 3 x 5 card, and write your name and contact info on the other side.

Tape the 3 x 5 card on the bottom of the plate, with only the recipe visible.   Your name will be secret during the judging, but we need know who you are to give you your prize!  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place–plus bragging rights!

If you are not yet a Grange member, and you are the winner, we will pay for your first year’s membership so that you can compete at the VT State Grange level in June!  For more information, call Tim at 802-225-8921.

Community Potluck Dinner will follow the judging, at about 6:00 PM!  Every month, we invite anyone who wants to join us for a tasty and social potluck dinner–bring and share whatever you can!
