MAIN HALL: Community Harvest of Central VT–Free Community Program!

More than just a Gleaning Program!

Our “Community Program” for this month will feature Allison Levin, founder and Executive Director of Community Harvest.   This group gleans hundreds of thousands of pounds of food every year, that would otherwise go to waste.   They store, sort and distribute the produce they glean to food shelves, community dinner sites, the VT Food Bank, and many more recipients, bringing local produce to thousands of food-insecure Vermonters who wouldn’t get it otherwise.  Come and ask questions, and find out how Allison started gleaning, and how she’s turned this operation into a group that gives hundreds of volunteers the chance to get outside and save food for people to eat!

In even-numbered months, we provide a “Community Program” of public interest.  Generally, these include a presentation by a local organization of social interest, selected and presented by the Grange Lecturer.

All are welcome to attend these FREE programs, in person or via Zoom

Those who wish are welcome to join us in person at the Grange Hall; we will be running the Room Air Filter Boxes to clean the air even with windows closed, as we expect they will need to be.  Or, attend via Zoom!

Note:   masks are optional for the Grange meeting, the Community Program and the Potluck dinner.  Anyone is welcome to wear a mask!  We ask that anyone who is feeling ill or has respiratory systems to please stay away until you feel well–we’ll be happy to see you then.
