Community Potluck dinner at the Grange!
June 4, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Getting together to share food is a long-time Grange tradition, and we’re happy to be able to do it again!
We ask that people who have been fully vaccinated join us for this potluck dinner–since it doesn’t work out too well to wear a mask and eat.
Everyone who’s vaccinated is welcome–it’s all free and open to the public! We’ll be eating downstairs in the cafeteria area, which was fully renovated in spring of 2020–so many people haven’t seen it. We use the vintage dishes, plates, bowls, etc. which the Grange has for events like this; we share the dishwashing after dinner’s done. There’s always lots of socializing, sharing of recipes, discussion of whatever the Grange is doing, and more.
What to bring? That’s easy–whatever you like! The more people come, the more variety we have. Here’s an incomplete list of the items that have shown up; we always have plenty of food:
-
Breads
-
Casseroles
-
Soups
-
Butter
-
Chips ‘n’ Dips (spicy and otherwise)
-
Dals and pilafs
-
Pasta dishes of all types
-
Cookies
-
Pies
-
Cakes
-
Beverages–soda, juices, cider
-
And many other things I can’t think of right now. Bring whatever you’d like to share–and if you haven’t had time to cook, pick something up on the way to the Grange Hall! We have a couple of ranges for heating up your food, and a refrigerator/freezer to cool it down!
