Contra dancing is joyful and community oriented — and it always involves some risk. We are requiring that all dancers wear masks to help keep our dance safer while COVID is still afoot. Weekly rehearsals for the Green Mountain Youth Symphony. Young musicians ages 8 – 18. Contact info@gmys-vt.org for open rehearsal information or to schedule an audition. Members of the Montpelier Contra Dance committee, along with volunteers, roll up the floor-protection mats, dust-mop the dance floor, and set up all the rest of what we need to open the dance at 8:00 PM If you're interested in volunteering to help out, please contact MCD committee member Jody Pettersen: jodypettersen@gmail.com

The potluck dinner will be in the lower level of the Grange Hall, using our great selection of vintage china, melamine, flatware and […] Before the dance starts at 8:00 PM, the dance caller will do a quick "intro to contra dancing" for newcomers, and anyone else who wants a refresher. Usually a few experienced dancers join in to help out. We hope you will join us!
