Starting with our July 1\, 2023\, dance\, the Montpelier Contra Dance will be masks optional. As with all of our COVID policies\, we ask that everyone be kind\, gentle\, and respectful with each other as we navigate this transition. We also want to be clear that everyone is welcome at our dance\, whether or not you choose to wear a mask. DESCRIPTION:Contra dancing is joyful and community oriented — and it always involves some risk. Starting with our July 1\, 2023\, dance\, the Montpelier Contra Dance will be masks optional. As with all of our COVID policies\, we ask that everyone be kind\, gentle\, and respectful with each other as we navigate this transition. We also want to be clear that everyone is welcome at our dance\, whether or not you choose to wear a mask. DESCRIPTION:Members of the Montpelier Contra Dance committee\, along with volunteers\, roll up the floor-protection mats\, dust-mop the dance floor\, and set up all the rest of what we need to open the dance at 8:00 PM. \nThe Lower Level is also part of the setup\, as name buttons\, dance flyers\, etc. are put out for dancers to use.  This setup time starts at 7:00 PM on evenings when Grange potluck dinners are held before the dance. \nDancers use the Lower Level to change shoes\, leave coats\, etc. during the dance. \n  \nIf you’re interested in volunteering to help out\, please contact MCD committee member Tim Swartz:  swartztim15@gmail.com
